Improving services to give local children and young people a better start in life.

Basildon, Billericay and Wickford CYPSP was formed in 2002 in response to the Government’s Green Paper ‘Every Child Matters’, and is responsible for all 0 – 19 year olds and in priority cases (e.g young people with learning difficulties) to ensure a seamless link for young adults up to the age of 25.

We work towards delivering the following five objectives, as laid out in Every Child Matters:

• Stay safe
• Be healthy
• Enjoy and achieve
• Achieve economic well-being
• Make a positive contribution

Within CYPSP we have a Core Commissioning Group and Management Group, supported by two age-related sub groups to focus on achieving these objectives:

• 0 to 11 (pre-birth to primary school)
• 11 to 19 (secondary school to adult)
